Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008/2008 R2 End Of Life

A new article has been posted to the TAM Retail blog by Stephanie Lode:

On January 14, 2020, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008/2008 R2 are due to reach end of life, at which time extended support will not be available. This means that you’ll no longer get security updates, hotfixes, or professional support from Microsoft.

If you run Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008/2008 R2 after the end of support, you could risk a data breach. Your operations and maintenance costs could rise and you may find yourself in violation of compliance.

Our recommendation is to upgrade to Windows 10 or Windows Server 2016 before extended support expires. If you would like to upgrade your hardware, contact your sales representative, call us at 888-843-1476, or email us at sales@tamretail.com.
