[VIDEO] TAM Releases Mobile Android Application

A new article has been posted on the TAM Retail blog by Sarah Lode:

TAM Retail is excited to release a new, free Android application that will allow you to count your inventory without a direct connection to your server.  The application allows you to simply export your current count sheet via email and then import the count into your TAM database.

The TAM Inventory Count application allows you to count your items three separate ways.

The first way to count your items is to manually enter the SKU number or Item/UPC.

Next, you can use the camera equipped on your mobile Android device to scan in a barcode. After the barcode has been scanned, the SKU or Item/UPC will automatically populate into the count.

Lastly, you can pair a Bluetooth Socket scanner to your Android mobile device and quickly and easily scan several items and have the SKU or Item/UPC added to the count instantly. The Socket Scanner can be purchased through TAM with either a 1D or 2D scanner depending on your needs.

The menu for the application provides easy-to-use and helpful options such as a Help button, a button to help you learn more about TAM, as well as one to allow you to export the count sheet.

This application can be downloaded on any Android device that is running Android Operating System 2.1 or greater. This includes any model or brand of Android smartphone as well as any Android tablet.  Before installing this application, check your TAM licensing to make sure you’re licensed for HandHeldLink as this is required to import SKUs into TAM.

This application is available on the Google Playstore for free, but only for a limited amount of time. Don’t wait and download it today for an easier, faster, and truly mobile solution for counting your inventory.

For all the Apple users, the iPhone and iPad application is in development and will be released soon.
